Grammar explanation-语法解释
Reflexive pronouns are words like myself, yourself, himself, herself, itself, ourselves, yourselves and themselves. They refer back to a person or thing.反身代词是像我自己、你自己、他自己、她自己、它自己、我们自己、你们自己和他们自己这样的词。他们指的是一个人或一件事。
We often use reflexive pronouns when the subject and the object of a verb are the same. 当动词的主语和宾语相同时，我们经常使用反身代词。
I cut myself when I was making dinner last night. 昨晚做晚饭时我割伤了自己。
I hope you enjoy yourselves at the party tonight! 我希望你们在今晚的聚会上玩得开心！
My phone isn’t working properly. It turns itself off for no reason. 我的手机无法正常工作。它无缘无故地自行关闭。
We need to believe in ourselves more. 我们需要更加相信自己。
Adding emphasis-增加强调
We can add a reflexive pronoun for emphasis when it’s unusual or different. 当不寻常或不同时，我们可以添加一个反身代词来强调。
He wants to pass his driving test so that he can drive himself to work. 他想通过驾驶考试，这样他就可以自己开车去上班。
She broke her arm, so she couldn’t wash herself very easily. 她摔断了手臂，所以她不能轻易地洗澡。
We can use reflexive pronouns to emphasise that someone does it personally, not anybody else. 我们可以使用反身代词来强调是某人亲自做的，而不是其他人做的。
The door was definitely locked. I locked it myself. 门肯定是锁着的。我自己锁的。
Are you redecorating your flat yourselves? 你自己重新装修你的公寓吗？
We can also use a reflexive pronoun together with the noun it refers to in order to emphasise it. 我们还可以将反身代词与其所指的名词一起使用以强调它。
We talked to the manager herself, and she agreed to give us our money back. 我们亲自与经理交谈，她同意退还我们的钱。
Parents themselves need to take more responsibility for their children’s learning. 家长本身需要对孩子的学习承担更多的责任。
By + reflexive pronoun-By + 反身代词
We can use by + reflexive pronoun to mean alone.我们可以使用 by + 反身代词来表示单独的意思。
He usually goes on holiday by himself. 他通常一个人去度假。
Do you enjoy being by yourself? 你喜欢独处吗？
Reciprocal pronouns-交互代词
Notice the difference between plural reflexive pronouns and reciprocal pronouns (each other, one another). 注意复数反身代词和互惠代词（彼此，彼此）之间的区别。
They‘re buying themselves a new television. 他们正在给自己买一台新电视。
They‘re buying each other small gifts. 他们互相买小礼物。
We looked at ourselves in the mirror. 我们看着镜子里的自己。
We looked at each other in surprise. 我们惊讶地看着对方。
With reciprocal pronouns (e.g. each other), each person does the action to the other person/people but not to themselves. 使用互惠代词（例如“彼此”）时，每个人都会对其他人执行该操作，但不会对其自己执行该操作。
